Tiresias' Followers

So I'm finally settling into my new place...kind of. I'm moving in downstairs until the girls upstairs have completely moved out. Losers...but hey, it's still awesome because now I'm actually in a house, not an apartment and I can sing as loud as I want and dance in front of the mirror with no worries. It's been an awesome summer so far. The two weeks that I can actually call summer, lol.

I've gone bowling at midnight, jumping off the docks during a full moon, made cookies and cakes for birthdays, moved furniture through the smallest doors possible and got my first paycheck. Nothing as exciting as Heather, but still as fun. Florence sounds like it was amazing and such an experience.

I've been pretty nostalgic lately. I believe it's starting to bother my friends here, lol. It's all good though, things have changed so quickly in the past year that it's good to hold onto the past sometimes. I feel like I've grown in leaps and bounds. For once it's visible that my parents are proud of me. It's a nice feeling to know that.

Otherwise, g'luck everyone with whatever you're doing: work, fun, travel, etc...
I'll be here in Washington if anyone wants to stop by. Micah's here too, I think I'm gonna get him to come up and visit. I've got an extra room this summer, so if you get the chance...lol. Well I'm going to go find something to eat, it feels like my stomach is trying to eat itself right now...grumble.

Ola from Alaska...

Hey everyone... As you probably guessed, I'm in Alaska... wohoo! Ya.. well we came out to our cabin to find... squirrels had broken in and devoured things... not even joking, they got in the cabin and chewed up our cabinets... ya... so I will now, for the last time ever, justify my killing of squirrels... I was (and am) defending my home from invaders! ya... anyway, they keep trying to get in... (not even joking..) there was one the deck this morning... I shot at it with the bb gun... didn't do much.. anyway... in other more interesting news, i'm painting my parents enormous garage...this thing is crazy, it's bigger than our house (yes we are rednecks).. so anyway that's been occupying me.. that and trying to call dan only to have to talk to his mom and find out he stayed in India longer. So now i have to kill him... actually i may not have to. he never told his parents we were going out, but i'm pretty sure his mom knows now... hehe..
ya so that's pretty much all that's going on in my unexciting life... Oh so when i come to DC (whenever i get there... ) i need some place to stay... any offers? anyone? and anyone wanna drive down and see court with me... hehe ya.. i'm demanding.. but still it'd be awesome to see everyone...
Miss you guys!
love

The Boredum Ensues...

Anyways... I am bored out of my mind. It's amazing how little there is to do in this town. Of course when Chris actually shows up maybe there will be something to do.

Night of DEBAUCHERY

So I was sitting on my favourite couch watching this great movie called "Firewall." I get an unexpected phone call from a buddy of mine telling me he wants to hang out... Thirty minutes later, I'm in my backyard - sober - with a dozen naked drunk chicks jumping in and out of my pool. Interesting.

I leave for Boston tomorrow, meeting up with Doris before I go to camp to start working. I'll be "Drill Sergeant Keyes." Seeing as I already am an Element NCO (Chris knows what I'm talking about), this should be good practice.

It has been over a year since we graduated. FUCK. Katie makes me feel so old, even though she is like two eons older than me. I haven't done much, it seems, in this year. Regardless, next year should be better, and with the naked drunk bitches thing going on, this year might be really interesting. REALLY interesting.

Summer...

So pretty much the week I started working at my job, I get a lil' text message from my roomie, Taryn. She tells me, 'We have a problem. Call me whe nyou get this. I think it'll turn out ok though, lol.' So I do that, she doesn't answer because she's being interviewed at Olive Garden...and I got a little paranoid. Finally comes out that the townhouse her and her two friends were renting this summer and schoolyear got given to someone else instead. Why does this concern me? Because I was supposed to be sub-letting from them for the summer. Now I have no place to stay. I started calling a bunch of people.

Two guys came forward and agreed that they would let us stay at their place for the summer, but all their stuff would still be there...sigh, what a hassle. Luckily though I stumbled across a nice 3bdr duplex while taking a walk near my apartment. Called the guy up, took a look, and now I'm giving him my deposit money. I'm excited now. Finally a place to stay. Lol.

Other than that, work is going well. I'm getting a lot of hours. Between 20-25 per week. My mom comes in tomorrow with 4 kilos of shisha, an extra hose, and her love...lol, plus her need of a ride from the airport. I finally get to go shopping after a long drought. I'm going to try and give people calls. My number is still (360) 305-8373 if you get the chance. If I'm at work I'll call you back. Love you all and miss you guys. I'm going to get some breakfast.

Grad...

Ah yes it's that time of year again... It's been one year... And yes, as if by some miricle, I did manage to graduate. It was crazy. It's been a fun week, quite sad actually, but it actually wasn't as bad as last year. Mainly cus Charlie and Steph are here with me in Austria. And I'm gonna see Trish when I come to DC this summer (still trying to figure out dates, probably end of July type time) and then I'm gonna go down to Denver a little early to settle in and I'll hopefully see Joe before he leaves and definetly Dan... So ya.. Anywya, Heather was up for grad. It snowed right before grad.. It was crazy... By Saturday it was warm and sunny though...So that was awesome...
Anyway... Oh I have a US cell phone now, it was a grad present from my parents... brand new razr... definitly psyched about that... the number's based out of Denver and it's supposedly 720-883-6820 So give me a call! It actually doesn't work right quite yet, but it will by tomorrow I think... we'll see. For now i'm on my Swiss cell...
Anyway, sorry to make this short but i gotta go to sleep.. i'm tired!!!
Miss you all (especially this time of year!!)
Love
Katie

Santa Cruz

So I too landed a job, but mine seems to be a bit out of the ordinary. After being rejected from the firefighting gig and then being given the finger by Disney for an internship, I applied for a job at Camp Atwater.

Camp Atwater is the oldest traditionally black camp in America. I will be one of the head counselors with (hopefully) the biggest cabin with the oldest guys. I will also be teaching survival and hiking. I'm pretty sure that there will be a lot of unhappy campers calling home about mean white Justin shooting me in the ass with a BB Gun.

But that's good times.

I'm actually in Santa Cruz, CA at University of California visiting a buddy before he ships off for Army Basic training. Sad that we got so old so quick. I've gone Kayaking on Monterey Bay, gone to Bubba Gumps' Shrimp restaurant, the Monterey Bay Aquarium, partied with some REALLY good looking girls and seen a lot of people get high. Too bad I don't talk to Daniel Nagy, I would have tried to visit him, but WHATEVA.

Y'all should call me now that I have my cellphone, I'll leave it up to you to call. I'm trying to hit DC sometime this summer, so Paul & Chris... keep a bed open for me.

Enjoy yourselves and be safe.
