Apartment Life and Such

So I just had a great night of beer pong, winning 5 games in a row, trying to break the house record. We were sooo close!! One more game and we would have won, but some force is against us, I swear. Tonight's a rugby social night though so I won't have to worry about my competitive streak coming out, lol.

So I finally have some pictures of my apartment that mean something. For any of you who can come in May this is where you'd be staying. Apparently our couch is pretty comfortable, coming from the guy who has spent three nights in a row sleeping on it. Plus I brought a full-sized air mattress. You'd be living in luxury here, lol.

So yea. You guys need to figure out this summer because I'm actually thinking I'll be pretty busy. Especially if I get that job because that means all of July and the end of June. I might be trying to fly to Wisconsin too to see Norah in June, and then driving down to LA to see Justin, a friend from Saudi, and a friend from here at Western in mid August. So early August and late August are the best options for me. I have plenty things here to keep you busy too. We'll be all over the place...even if stupid gas prices are high. Canada's right around the corner you guys!!

Courtney - G'luck on getting that job, you know they want you
Katie - Haven't talked to you in a week or so, but that's way too long, lol! Find out what's taking Mr. Timm so fucking long. We paid for those DVD's and I really wanna see 'em!!
Justin - I'm gonna call you randomly sometime soon, like always. Probably when I'm drunk tonight, lol.
Chris - Hope you didn't screw up your car driving without oil...
Paul - You're in for the time of your life when you come May 19th. I promise we wont scare you too much though.
Liz - I haven't talked to you in ages drinking buddy! I'll call you randomly too soon.
Lauren - Get excited! You're getting outta Bard! Yes, lol. You're going to have fun in Canada and you know it :P
Heather - Sounds like you're having a crazy ass time, we should totally swap stories sometime. The rugby guys are a rambunctious group for sure...haha.

Go To DC!

Everyone should go to D.C.. I will be there from late May to mid-august. Although I will have a full time job, weekends and nights are good! I'm beginning to miss some of you... lol. Does anyone remember that last night in Lauren's hotel room? Wasn't that fucked up? I mean that was rediculous. Katie, can you slap whoever it is that manages the las website? april 2005 is *not* current events... and the headmaster's *weekly* letter shouldn't be talking about new years. What do you have to do around here to get some dirt of the LAS kind? I want to know the scandals and laugh at them from a distance! Did anyone else get that alumni magazine thing?

oh, and chris... are you still coming to D.C.? you better be. I can't offer you a place to stay or anything, but I still want to see you. If not I guess a lot of people are going to crash at Lynsey's in late august... right? at least that is my plan.

In other news... I am so out of shape it's not even funny (i don't know if that really constitutes news...). I haven't played a sport that requires running since 7th grade and Ultimate frisbee is rediculously tiring.

In still other news... actually no that's it. bye.

Busy busy...

Hey guys,
So ya, I was in Dallas. I am now back in wonderful Switzerland. God I'm gonna miss it when I leave. Still having trouble believing it. Anyway, I'm on my downward spiral now. We're all studying for our IB exams. I'm not going to Munich because they screwed up the schedualing and put it right before my IB Chem exam... ya. They also managed to put Senior Skip Day on the same day as my IB French exam. So I have to stay behind and take an exam... Damnit.
Anyway, Doing the LIMUN thing right now. It's busy as hell... But it'll all be over by this weekend and then I'll really have nothing to do until my exams. That'll be really nice. I'm definitly looking forward to it.
Um... lost my phone this weekend. It really sucks, my parents are gonna kill me. 500chf phone... it was in my pocket the whole night at Top Pub and then I got back to my room and it's missing. Half of me wants to wait and hope it'll come back, but I'm gonna need it big time for this weekend so... Sara's gonna loan me a phone so I'll only have to replace the sim. Anyway... Um... Still not sure what's going on with Dan. We're not going out, but we pretty much act like it. I donno, popular concensus has been that he's simply my bitch... hehe. Ya... The ex's are acting up. Well, just Jeff... he's being a real pain in the ass, and i know it's just cus he's jealous and it really reallly pisses me off. I know Dan's getting mad about it too... Everyone else isn't too bad (although Dan did get a lot of grief when he had to go to school with hickies on his neck.. haha, i still claim faraz did it)
hmmm. not much else. there's a spider in my room. it keeps biting me. Not cool... ok this si just boring. Still trying to figure out my summer plans. I have to be in colorado by the 18th. I'm thinking about going to DC since it sounds like that's were everyoen is...
Miss you all
Love
Katie

29 days...

Ok sounds like some "The Ring" knockoff, but I'm countin' down the days till I'm outta here. Out of upstate NY, out of the States for that matter... I got into Concordia, so I'm definitely moving to Montreal. I don't know about McGill at this point, but they are being assholes about my transcript so it probably won't happen. Whatever, they wanna be difficult, they dont get my money. So yeah I'm real excited about that, but it means I have to go scout out an apartment, and Concordia reccomended 2 or 3 weeks to find a good place, which means most of August is gone for me in terms of meeting up this summer. But if any of yall wanna come up to Quebec and get real nostalgic and speak some French look me up!

Rock Climbing

Ok, my turn now. This will be short. Last Sunday I went rock climbing at this place called Frenchman's Coulee. Here is a picture of one of the walls I climbed. I went up the corner farthest to the left. It was pretty sweet. If it weren't for slippery fingers, I could totally do a pull up on a door frame. Can you do that Chris? ha

My Turn

Well, it's only been 2 weeks of school so far since spring break and it's already crazy hectic and doesn't seem to be slowing down. My first weekend here before classes started we had a 'housewarming' at our apartment with a group of close friends. We were ultra scared to be loud but we realized we really couldn't get in any trouble. So that went well.

The next weekend I brought my 16-year old cousin up to stay the night...it happened to be a toga party night. She probably saw college as a scene straight out of animal house....shite. Lol. She loved it though and I kicked some ass in beerpong. Saturday night we had another party at our apartment for the rugby guys. That ended up being a double kegger with the other two apartments on our floor. There were at least 40 people standing in the parking lot alone...and the cops never bothered us. Cuh-razy! It was definitely fun though.

The next wednesday I played another round of beerpong, stopping after winning five games in a row. (I think I can take you on now Justin! :P) Thursday we drank with our neighbors and then I went to play softball. I sobered up way too quickly, lol. And then FINALLY, lol, Friday we went camping! YES! My first trip ever. It was awesome. 4 mile hike, not too steep (not like freaking Dents du Midi is what I mean!)...and then the next morning we hiked up some more to this awesome view called Oyster Dome. Yay, I feel so productive, hehe. Anyway, got back from that and passed out w/out taking a shower. I felt gross...but I didn't care. I'm sorry everything's so brief. If I went into hilarious details you'd be sitting here forever.

So this summer! I'll be in this apartment till the end of June. You're welcome to come in May or June when you get out and stay here. OR early August is the other option. From the end of June through July I'll be up in Bellingham, but I'll be working for the harvest and living at the rugby house. Plus at some time I'm taking a road trip down to LA. I'll work that out with you Justin. Otherwise we can all figure something out. You guys would love it here, I promise. I will make if fun for you ;) Anyway, I gots to clean the apartment. Having some people over tonight. Love you all and I'll probably call around laters. Muah, Bye

Little update.

Went camping over the weekend in Virginia in the Shenandoah National Forest. Good shit. Got our beer confiscated by a park ranger. Not fun.

Broke the screen on my laptop. 800 bucks. Travel this summer? Not in hell! Job this summer? Hell yeah! I guess I'll be working around California as a firefighter.

I guess I can say my pad is open (at least my room is) to y'all.

Updated the good old email -
justin.m.keyes@gmail.com

And I'll be an official contractor of the US Air Force in two weeks. Can't wait. Oh the benefits.

Seems y'all are out having a bit more fun than me. Military Ball coming up, that should be fun.

I'll give y'all a more interesting thing to read sooner or later. Or maybe I could tell you that Amtrak REALLY does have an entire office dedicated to buying coal, when the last coal powered ANYTHING they've operated was retired... well... when it was created. AN ENTIRE FUCKING OFFICE. I hate bureaucracy, and I hate seeing money wasted, as I am sure that you are all are well... which brings me to my next point. In two week, I will be getting 300 bucks a month from YOUR taxes (Chris Knows About This). You know what I'm going to do with that? Buy cigarettes and Alcohol.

Alright!

Good Night.
