A Place Called Bluewood

So, at this place called Bluewood that is a 45 minute drive from my campus, it has been snowing for about 4 days straight. So this morning, we got up early and drove over there. We were waist deep in fresh untouched powder. The ski place opened up yesterday. There are only two lifts, but the powder was insane. There were so many steep runs that went right through pine forests. We had to weave in and out of trees while ripping fresh tracks. The powder runs were longer than anything I ever did in Leysin. It was mind blowing. MIND BLOWING! It snowed the entire time, and was still snowing when we left. Fortunately, the visibility was perfect with not too much fog and no flat light. There was no wind, and the conditions were just overall... perfect. I boarded with some folks from Colorado and California and Alaska, and they all agreed that these were pretty much some of the best skiing conditions they had ever been in. We boarded from opening till closing, a total of about 6 hours. So any of you questioning the merits of the northwest, let me tell you, we got a lot to offer. So what have all of you been up to this weekend?
